Eco Neckties, introduced seven years ago by Tamaki, now lead the industry with neckties made entirely of 100 percent recycled fibers Up until now, only weft threads were made of eco-friendly fibers, but for the new Eco Neckties, both the warp and weft threads will be made of eco-friendly fibers.
By using ECOPET PLUS™, a recycled polyester fiber manufactured by Teijin Fibers Ltd., our company has built a closed-loop recycling system that can recycle recovered products into polyester fibers almost indefinitely. This has been made possible by partnering with Teijin Fibers to implement its closed-loop recycling system ECOCIRCLE™. This recycling system provides our company with the means to safely dispose of Eco Neckties and Eco Neckwear that are no longer being used, and most importantly, contribute to the preservation of the environment.
Polyester neckties are collected and taken to a recycling plant, where they are reborn as fibers that can be recycled an infinite number of times into new polyester fibers of absolutely the same quality as the original fiber without using any new resources.
Chemical recycling: By using this recycling system, materials can be recycled almost indefinitely.
Features of ECOCIRCLE™, the Closed-Loop Recycling System by Teijin Fibers
- Significant reduction in garbage output
- Effective utilization of resources
- Contributes to prevention of global warming
(Compared with making new polyester raw material from petroleum, this recycling system consumes only one-fifth the energy and produces one-fifth the CO2 emissions.)
